Hiking
The hike connects the historic Hohnstein Castle with the spectacular Bastei rocks in Saxon Switzerland. The path leads through dense forests, over narrow trails and past impressive sandstone formations. From the castle, there are already beautiful views, but the highlight is the Bastei rocks with their famous panorama over the Elbe valley and the Elbe river. The tour is varied: nature, history and spectacular viewpoints alternate. Depending on the route, it takes several hours and requires good basic fitness.
