The ridge path Rauenstein or Rauensteinweg is another part of the famous Malerweg. From the Rauensteinweg there are great views on both sides of the bastion, quarries and table mountains. The ridge path of the section offers a very wild and unspoiled but still pleasant and safe hiking experience through well-paved stairs and railings.

Great view of the Bastei and over the Sächs. Switzerland to the King and Lilienstein, recommendation to go out the Rauenstein of Wehlen, as it is only slowly going through the forest and the views are then always great and in the end waiting in the rest house for a refreshment before it goes down to Rathen.
