At the back of the Bunker Museum parking lot, you'll find an unusual surprise. Here, high up on the mountain, a ship has actually run aground, and it's open to the public. The proportions are somewhat odd, as is the structure, and looking inside the rusted hull, one initially suspects that the lower section was cut off to avoid having to install it in the ground. But far from it: it must be that way. The ship is actually a land-based military vessel used for training purposes. A kind of dry-water swimming exercise for the naval cadets.

Yes, it's a bit dilapidated. And the floor beneath the helm doesn't look very trustworthy. But it passed our stress test with flying colors. And otherwise, it wouldn't have been so deep, since the ship doesn't have a bottom, but simply sits on flat natural ground. A land-based warship, after all...
