The Krudttårnet is a listed powder tower built between 1686 and 1690 in the Fladstrand area of Frederikshavn, Denmark, as part of the fortress.
It was moved to the Frederikshavn harbor and is now a local landmark.
In 1974, it was decided to move the powder tower, which weighed around 4,500 tons, to its current location in one piece. The transport by road was 270 meters long and the move took place over a period of 13 months.Originally, the tower stood on a headland so that enemy ship cannons could not reach the city before the ships themselves were within range of the tower's cannons.
On August 5, 1976, the powder tower was opened to the public in the presence of the royal family.travel.sygic.com/poi/krudttarnet-poi:10398
