The climb to the top of the keep's tower is worthwhile. The view over the city, the countryside, the Saar River, and the picture-perfect vineyards with rows upon rows of vines is a true experience. But beware! The metal spiral staircase that winds its way up inside the tower is narrow and not for everyone. Crossing the stairs is not possible. Anyone carrying a heavily loaded backpack should think twice about taking it upstairs.
