The Art Nouveau-style facade of the Opéra cinema located on Rue de Thillois has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1981. Its lack of maintenance has led to significant deterioration of the concrete canopy and its stained-glass windows. The upper part of the pediment is decorated with sgraffito and half-bosses sculptures (Reims in the Age of Art Deco by Olivier Rigaud, 8e Jour edition).Art Nouveau is sometimes referred to as "Modern Style," an Anglicism popular in the 1900s.Architects: Emile Thion and Marcel Rousseau, building permit issued in 1924.
