In 1825, this "temple" was built by architect Franz Engel on the rise of the Middle Pond in the direction of Valtice. The Minetti brothers took care of the decoration with marble and mosaics. The semicircular structure with twelve Ionic columns forms the background of the group of statues of the three graces - the Greek goddesses Athena, Artemis and Aphrodite - which Leopold Fischer created from a single block of stone and previously adorned the Lednice castle park.
In the niches of the building there are statues by Joseph Klieber that represent the muses and allegories of the sciences.
