I champion my hometown: its beautiful landscape, its many personalities who lived, worked, and achieved so much here.
From the Landgrafenturm (Tower of the Landgrave), a "relic" from the GDR era, you have a wonderful view over Jena.
Loving helpers make it possible for the tower to be open, although not always.
Wonderful hiking trails lead over the Landgrafen, such as the Saale Horizontale (approx. 96 km). The 100 km long-distance hike around Jena also passes by here.
The Windknollen (Windknollen) with the Jena Napoleon Stone is only about 1 km away as the crow flies.
And don't forget the old student song: "In Jena leben sich bene" (Life is good in Jena).
