From the "Matterhorn Jenas" you have a really great view of the city and the surrounding mountain ranges. At the front vantage point there is a board that makes orientation easier and shows those unfamiliar with what is so beautiful there.
A really stiff breeze can blow up here.
You can easily get up and down via the fortified southern access (saurian path) and there are also many benches along the way for taking a breather. Some lines of sight have been cut free again and thus enable a good view, e.g. of the Fuchsturm opposite.
Once you are at the top, you have many options to extend the tour. E.g. via the "Hufeisen" (nature reserve) in the direction of Kunitz and to the castle ruins on the Gleisberg. Or you can look around upstairs, enjoy the view and, when the restaurant is open, you can enjoy coffee and cake. On the north side, a path leads back down through the forest. The signs have been renewed.
