A company in Mannheim created the 700-kilogram steel sculpture of the number 1000 for Burghausen's city anniversary. The rust-effect artwork, painted with a clear varnish, was initially placed in front of the town hall building on the town square, but will also be used at other locations throughout the city over the course of the anniversary year and serve as an official photo spot for citizens and guests.

The custom-made anniversary sculpture in the shape of the number 1000 has arrived in Burghausen. It took several hours to install it in the town square. The city of Burghausen will celebrate its 1000th anniversary in 2025.
