Here you wander on a former defensive wall built over 300 years ago to stop advancing French troops as they move east.

The Ettlinger line is a 1707 built defense system with ramparts and ditch. It was built in 1707 during the Spanish War of Succession and had the task of stopping the French army at the fortified positions. The ramparts with the ditch is still easy to recognize. Follow the wall on a single trail through thickly wooded forest

Historic building, surprisingly well preserved for its age.

The Ettlinger line is no longer visible in many places because it was plowed in in the fields and partly also built over.

You can see them particularly well here and at Forchheimer Flugplatz.

It lies directly behind the redoubt and extends from the Rhine to Eyachmühle

Narrow, varied way. It is easy to walk and is certainly a very nice way for children.
