The Ettlinger line is a 1707 built defense system with ramparts and ditch. It was built in 1707 during the Spanish War of Succession and had the task of stopping the French army at the fortified positions. The ramparts with the ditch is still easy to recognize. Follow the wall on a single trail through thickly wooded forest
