Münster City Harbor

Even if the city harbor in Münster is not on the sea, but on the Dortmund-Ems Canal, there is a really nice flair here. The promenade with its diverse gastronomic offer is very popular with locals and tourists. Office buildings, art, culture, restaurants and hip clubs ensure that there is always a lot going on here around the clock.

Of course, the port in Münster is not on the sea, but the Dortmund-Ems Canal runs through the Westphalian metropolis. The shipping route, simply called “canal” by the people of Munster, not only offers many green spaces along its course, which sun-seekers like to use in summer, but has also given rise to a harbor in Munster.
However, this port is no longer known to locals and tourists because of its economic importance, but rather because of its transformation into a promenade and trendy district. A cozy get-together for coffee or cocktails, but you can also experience wild nights of dancing in the port of Münster. Almost every taste is catered for. Jazz fans meet, for example, in the Hot Jazz Club: Live music events have been taking place here since 2000, which make music fans from Münster and the surrounding area go into raptures.

"The last planned attraction of the day is the city harbor and we march there through the long harbor road.
On the southern, wild side, all sorts of relaxed people camp between the rusting rails and under the old harbor crane; Music is playing and there is a friendly, peaceful summer-in-the-port atmosphere; however badly clouded by the desert littering of this attraction.
Why must there always be so many "nest polluters" in the truest sense of the word?
The northern side, with the beautifully designed promenade, belongs to those who like to stroll and the associated gastronomy; I hear a call that the ambience reminds someone of the Phönixsee, and in real ignorance of this artificial body of water, the comparison with Duisburg's inner harbor immediately comes to mind.
Perhaps there is a similar architectural uniform cap for the discarded inland ports as for the pedestrian zones of medium-sized cities.
