Mühlsdorf Coordinate Stone

Nice place to take a break and get a great view!

A coordinate stone such that an integer circle of latitude and an integer circle of longitude intersect cannot occur very often (in Germany only 44 times); one of them is here. The Mühlsdorfer coordinate stone (51° north latitude / 14° east longitude), however, there are two, which confused us a lot at first...
This one here, from the Heimatverein from 2004, is calibrated according to the old, Central European degree measurement (in Saxony since 1862), the second, embedded in the ground like a boundary stone, according to the world degree measurement, today's GPS system (200m further on the hiking trail).

The Mühlsdorfer coordinate stone is not only worth a photo, the two benches along the way are also the ideal place for a little rest before heading back towards Lohmen.
