The Löwenburg is after the Great Mount of Olives, the second highest mountain in the Siebengebirge. At the summit is the ruins of the Lion Castle. It is just like the other striking and still conical mountains of the Siebengebirge volcanic origin. Up here it is worth taking a break and enjoying the wide view. All the stuff for a picnic but you have to drag yourself to the mountain, because there is no way to buy something here.

The Löwenburg is a mountain in the Siebengebirge. He is counted among its "seven great mountains" and is the second highest at 455 meters above sea level after the Great Mount of Olives. Striking and a tourist destination, the lion's castle is next to the height of the ruins located on the top of the medieval Löwenburg.
