The climb up the famous Brocken from Wernigerode initially follows a beautiful but busy road. A steeper climb awaits you before Drei Annen Hohne, then the ride continues without much effort to Schierke. This is followed by a great section up to the summit along the steam railway. The closer you get to the summit, the busier it gets. Bring a jacket, as it can be considerably cooler at the top than at the bottom.
