Huge and a lot of fun for the little ones

Highlight for children. Large playground with high visitor numbers. In the children's area next door you can also eat and drink.

The large playground is located in the Nordsternpark on the site of the former Federal Horticultural Show 1997. It is divided into three areas: On the one hand there is a large approximately 50 cm deep water basin with two barrels to stack (sticks can be borrowed) and a raft to to pull the water ". Next to the pool there is also a small gravel court with a small football goal and a basketball goal.

On the other side of a path behind hedges is the other lovingly designed part: Here there is a huge sand area, in summer there are two water pumps and a slope with a water basin / waterfall. When the water runs into the water basin at the top, it flows from basin to basin until it floods parts of the pool below. There is also a large net climbing device with nests here.
On the other side of a bridge, the huge sand area continues, but here without water: There are three slides, a wobble mat, three round jumping plates, an abstract wooden climbing frame and two beach volleyball fields.

A little bit away from the playground there is a small kiosk for ice cream, waffles and salads, public toilets and a toy rental (sand toys, balls, bobby car, ...)
There is a large parking lot on Wallstrasse (between the canal and the Emscher), about 400m from the playground.

It's free. Rarely seen such a beautiful playground.

Equipment: Gastronomy / kiosk, toilets, located in the countryside, benches, parking spaces
Play equipment: basketball hoop, slide, soccer goals, water games / mud system, climbing element, climbing spider, tube slide, sand surface
