In 1913 the Erzgebirgszweigverein Aue became a s.g. Alpine path, between Aue (Saxony) and Lauter (Saxony), created. "Alpiner Steig" lives up to its name and sometimes runs very narrow and high - above the valley of Schwarzwasser.

Hiking

The Alpine Steig leads from the direction of Hakenkrümme Aue to Lauter Burkhardtswald. Created in 1913 by the ErzgebirgsVerein Aue, it offers a unique adventure. Over hill and dale (surefootedness and hiking equipment recommended!) It goes on a narrow path past rocks towards Lauter. Currently there are some trees that block the paths (but are passable).
