The Conradswiese forest school home belongs to the city of Lauter-Bernsbach and is operated by the Sachsenforst state company. The site includes an interesting nature trail with a maze.
The name refers to the former owner Balthasar Kühnert. He built a real outwork around his little house to protect himself from bears and wolves. The population now referred to the property as “Kunertwies”, from which “Conradswiese” was derived.

About 10 km south of Aue, in the middle of a Conradwiese nature reserve, is the forest school home of the same name.
