      Today I followed the Karlsroute to neighboring Bohemia.
      The start was in the parking lot at the Sauschwemme, from where we first went to the Iron Gate. The wooded route was mostly downhill and only occasionally through smaller towns. Between Neuhammer and Eibenberg, after the long descent, the first meters of altitude had to be overcome, which was very convenient for me at 6 ° C. Via Neudek I went on to Pechöfen, where Komoot sent me on the 2009A cycle path. This section is more intended for MTB's and not suitable for touring bikes. After 3 kilometers I found the Karlsroute in Neurohlau and the road surface suddenly improved again. After Münchhof, the last notable slope was down to Elbogen in the Egertal. The castle greeted me from afar high above the Eger, which I followed to Karlsbad. This approximately 15-kilometer section of the tour was certainly the most beautiful! A natural river cycle path with a slight gradient through a beautiful landscape! When we arrived in Karlsbad, we took small detours to the train station and from there by train back to Breitenbach. From the border in Johannstadt to the starting point of the tour, I had to overcome a few more meters in altitude before a very nice day of cycling came to an end!

      Today we went by bike to the train station in Rodewisch and then with the Vogtlandbahn to Falkenstein. This is where our tour started on the Vogtland cycle path to Oelsnitz and back to Falkenstein and on to the beautiful Stützengrün! Our little trip ended on the Bahn'l cycle path, best regards to my comrade and many thanks for the beautiful afternoon !!!

      Today we went to Schöneck with the Vogtlandbahn. The highest town in the Vogtland was the starting point for our tour, on which we wanted to cycle over 4 dam walls in the region.
      So we started in the headwaters of the Roter and Weißer Mulde and drove towards Muldenberg. Arrived in the rafting community, it went over the longest dam in Saxony at 525 meters. Now we followed, on well-developed forest roads, the Kielfloßgraben towards Mühlleithen and then the ridge path to Carlsfeld. On this section a few meters of altitude had to be overcome and so a first, short break was taken. The magnesium deficiency was quickly compensated for by the cold drinks we brought with us and so we continued to follow the "ridge" to the highest drinking water reservoir in Germany! After a photo of the dam wall was made, we went to the "Iron Gate", the border snack bar with cult character! Here we spent our lunch break with draft beer and bratwurst, of course from Fetten - Groben! Well strengthened, we continued our tour towards Sosa. On partly steep paths we reached the Köhlerdorf and our third dam. The Kleine Bockau is dammed here by a curved quarry stone dam, which is the last dam of this type built in Germany! We continued down through the Höllengrund, past the Blauenthaler waterfall and on the Mulderadweg up to the Gerstenberg. Now it wasn't far to the last dam of today's excursion. The largest dam in Saxony is located near Eibenstock, partly because of its capacity (82.9 million m³) and partly because of the height of its dam (65.50 m).
      After a last little rest, we went over the Marienweg to Hundshübel and past the Weissbach reservoir to Stützengrün, where today's tour ended!
      I would like to thank my colleagues very much for this wonderful bike trip and the very pleasant hours!

      On tour together with Wandertino!Actually it should be the 12 apostles in the Franconian Forest, but the weather report for the afternoon hours predicted rain and thunderstorms. And so it went to the tranquil Sosa on the Köhlerweg.
      From the parking lot for the hikers we went towards the center and immediately after the first houses we turned into a narrow meadow path. We followed this for over two kilometers, always around the deer bone, through fields, woods and meadows. Surefootedness was required here and sturdy shoes were an advantage! We have often wished for long trousers, but nettles are supposed to be good for rheumatism. When the Rotgrubener Straße was reached, the paths became wider and hiking became more relaxed. On the entire route there were always wonderful panoramic views of the charcoal village and on 20 display boards you could learn all kinds of interesting facts about the old craft of charcoal production. The historic Meilerplatz in the northern part of the round and the last producing charcoal burning in the village are further highlights. The Kneipp facility right on the edge of the path was ideal for a short break before going back up to the starting point at the village stream. There they refreshed themselves with a draft beer in Meiler 2.0 and then started their journey home.
      Conclusion: a very beautiful hiking trail that is sometimes quite demanding. The signs leave nothing to be desired and numerous seating options invite you to take a break.Many greetings to my hiking companions and thank you very much for the beautiful tour!

      Small bike tour along the railway cycle path from Wolfsgrün to Aue and then on to Niederschlema. On the way back we went to the spa gardens in Bad Schlema and then always along the Floßgraben back to the starting point. A visit to the beer garden at the Rechenhaus rounded off the trip, many thanks to my colleague!

      Stage four
      Großdalzig -> Hall HBF
      We started the fourth and last stage at the Zwenkau / Großdalzig train station. On the country road we went towards Zwenkauer See and thus back on the Elsterradweg. Past the diocese and then on to the Cospudener See. The weather was very nice and accordingly there were a lot of pedal knights on the way. The outskirts of Leipzig were reached quickly and so we passed the Pleisse estuary and the Red Bull Arena. The New Luppe followed the Elster flood bed, past the Auensee, the gallery at the Luppe and the Lützschena Castle Park. We continued in the direction of Schkeuditz and thus back to the White Elster. We crossed under the A9 and followed the very well developed cycle path to Halle. On the way there we passed the large Lochau mill, which belonged to the Wesenitz mill works. There we could see countless storks searching for food. In the suburbs of Halle we were shaken again by the cobblestones and then the destination of the trip was already reached. Unfortunately, the confluence of the Elster and Saale is not signposted and is not clearly visible through trees and bushes. A target photo was taken anyway! We then took the Saale Cycle Path and the Hafenbahn route through Halle to the main train station, where our train headed home was already waiting.Conclusion: A relaxed stage at the end, on which it felt only went downhill.

      Today we used the nice weather for a little trip to the neighboring Vogtland.First it went through the Kuhberg area towards Bad Reiboldsgrün to the Grünheide forest park. The main paths in this area are very well developed and ideal for cyclists! A little rest at the Vogtlandsee was a must. We crossed the Klingenthaler Straße and followed the Rote Göltzsch. Past Röthelstein and then over the double bridge, it went downhill to the Ellefeld game reserve and on to Göltzschtalstraße. We followed this for a while and then turned into Hofau Park in Auerbach. Then it went through the pedestrian zone and past Hockels Mühle to the castle island in Rodewisch. Here we fortified ourselves with smoked sausage and freshly tapped beer. The last climb at the Wiedenberger houses could be mastered quite well. On the Bahn'l Weg between Rothenkirchen and Stützengrün we then crossed the border to the Ore Mountains again and drove back to the starting point!Greetings to my comrade-in-arms and thank you for the nice afternoon!

      Stage three
      Wish village -> Großdalzig
      Start was today at the train station in Wünschendorf. We followed the very well developed bike path parallel to the White Elster all the way to Gera. The first highlight of the day was waiting for us on the canoe training course near Zwötzen when we saw a kingfisher. We continued to Bad Köstritz, first through the beautifully landscaped park and later past the brewery. The route led us through orchards, grain and hop fields, but also small, tranquil villages. We didn't miss the vertical meters of stages one and two today, it was always slightly downhill and so we were able to make a decent stretch. Only when we cycled into the Burgenlandkreis and crossed the border between Thuringia and Saxony Anhalt did we have to overcome the first moderate inclines. After 50 kilometers we took a short break and strengthened ourselves in the Göbitz manor house with shandy and bratwurst. The planned stage destination in Pegau was reached so quickly that we decided to drive another 10 kilometers and headed for the train station in Zwenkau-Großdalzig.Conclusion: Little vertical meters, great road surface (except for the Profen thoroughfare) and a great mix of landscape and town!

      The classmates were on vacation and so I was asked in advance to work out a bike tour.Circuit, not too far from home, always downhill, plenty of kilometers and a chance to stop off!
      These specifications should be feasible!
      And so we walked in the footsteps of Adolf Hennecke at the beginning, starting at the mining museum in Oelsnitz and then towards Lugau and further on the coal railway cycle path to Mittelbach. The route to the Chemnitz Valley Cycle Path could be bridged very well on side roads with little traffic, through traffic-calmed zones in the villages and beautifully laid out bike paths overland. From Diethensdorf we went on the second railway line of the day, along the Chemnitz towards Chemnitz! The Schweizerthalbrücke, the Markersdorfer Strudel Pots, the old Claussnitz quarry, the Schusterstein tunnel or the Auerswalder suspension bridge are just a few of the highlights that can be experienced here! Past the Lulatsch (302m) it went to the castle pond and on towards the city park. We crossed the largest closed park in the city and took a well-deserved rest at the moated castle in Klaffenbach. After we had fortified ourselves with draft beer and smoked sausage from the grill, we went to the Jahnsdorf airfield and on through the Steegenwald to the old Niederwürschnitz brickworks. From here, it wasn't far back to the starting point of our tour!Many thanks to my colleagues for the great cycling day, always gladly again!

      Today I did a spontaneous afternoon tour to the Iron Gate. After we had done a lot of altitude, we rewarded ourselves with a delicious snack. Then we went to the Kleiner Kranichsee, where we inspected the newly built lookout tower. On the way home we made a short stop at the Eibenstock dam, where we fed the liquid cereals we had brought with us to our battered bodies. The last few kilometers were then only a matter of form.Many thanks to my colleague for the nice tour and the comfortable clothing!
