This tunnel was the last mining facility to be built between 1857 and 1866. It was used for drainage, ventilation and promotion of the pit on the Kuttenberg. At a length of 315m, it collides with the artificial shaft of the ⚒ Reichenbacher Fundgrube ⚒ mine, which was baptized at the same time. The mouth hole, reconstructed in 1991, was built in 1861.

In the middle of the Lößnitz God and City Forest, between Lößnitz, Aue and Oberpfannenstiel, is the former mining area of the mountain town of Lößnitz, where mining has been carried out since at least 1382. However, the actual mountain screaming in Kuttengrund to the south only began around 1480. Construction was mainly based on silver, copper, arsenic and lead. From 1500 onwards, numerous tunnels began to be excavated from the valley floors of the Kutten and Fallbach streams. To date, research has enabled us to locate 56 tunnels over an area of around five hectares.
From 1720 onwards, silver and arsenic mining began to be revived in eight individual mines. One of these mines is the so-called Reichenbach-Stolln, popularly known as the Kuttenzeche. The high arsenic ore content in particular ensured that the mine had a modest income until October 1907.
