The cascades were made for energy conversion. The steps take the force of the falling water (for example when the snow melts or after storms) and the water cannot destroy the walls of the raft ditch. A similar principle is used for dams, for example. Large quantities from floods are drained off in various stages in so-called stilling basins without damage.

Most likely a remnant of mining. It's really beautiful to look at 👍👍 a cool highlight on the Floßgrabenweg trail.

The waterfall is very beautiful and you can take a break there directly. There is a table and two benches. There is another small cave nearby, but you need lighting for it.
