Calderico Hill rises in the middle of the La Mancha plain, visible for miles around, giving Consuegra (Toledo) its own distinctive identity. The most significant heritage features include the Castle and the Windmills that extend along its summit, following its longitudinal profile. The views of the windmills and castle are truly remarkable.

Mountain biking

They are located on Calderico Hill, where we can also visit the castle. Of the thirteen original mills, 12 have been restored. The Sancho mill was the first to be restored, using the methods and materials typical of the period. It still preserves original, highly antique pieces, and due to the way it was restored, it was the first to be declared a BIC (Central Heritage Site). The entire complex subsequently enjoyed the same heritage status. Others that also preserve their complete machinery are the Sancho, Rucio, Bolero, and Espartero mills.
