1926 built the German Alpine Club, section Eger, a club house, the Tillenschutzhaus, on the mountain. On the Tillenberg in the Bohemian Forest in 1925 the club bought a 2250 sqm plot. Plan was the construction of a shelter and already on 3 October 1926, the solemn opening of the Tillenberg-Schutzhaus was carried out. Ski races and annual mountain festivals increased the awareness of the house, and in 1932 the new access road simplified the visit to the shelter. This was demolished by the Czech side after the Second World War and transported to Pilsen.
