Three bronze market women, whose lush busts crown a high stone column made of shell limestone, pour water from their jugs into a flat pool at the Green Market. The three capable female figures, who overlook the market in three directions from their high vantage point, symbolize the three ages of life with youth, blossom and age and make many think of the Celtic matrons.
