Mountain biking
The Aalbeek valley is a wonderful nature reserve and, compared to the beach promenade, is usually quite deserted even in summer. Anyone who wants to hike from Timmendorfer Strand to Niendorf (or vice versa) and doesn't want to go back and forth along the beach is highly recommended to make a small detour to create a "loop".
Attention: If it has rained a lot, parts of the paths are covered with deep puddles / mud and - depending on your own standards - impassable. (The Aalbeek valley is located below sea level...)
