The Franconian Street of Sculptures is a tranquil circular hiking trail through eastern Franconian Tuscany. At the initiative of the Lohndorfer artist Ad Freundorfer, of whom the sculpture “Virtual Room” can be seen, the path was set up and gradually expanded. The Franconian Street of Sculptures is a sculpture trail in the Upper Franconian community of Litzendorf (Bamberg district) near the villages of Litzendorf, Lohndorf and Tiefenellern.
The exhibition of sculptures in the middle of the landscape of the Ellertal was launched in 1994 by the Upper Palatinate academic sculptor and graphic artist Ad Freundorfer, who lives in Lohndorf. Almost all of the works of art are owned by the respective artists, who leave their works on the Sculpture Street for at least two years.
