On the edge of Mechelen you will find the Mechels Rivierengebied visitor centre, close to the Dijle in Muizen. This is the ideal starting point for nature walks in the Lower Dijle Valley. The Mechels Broek and the Barebeek Valley are nearby. For a longer walk, take the connecting route to Mispeldonk or combine different loops. Coloured Natuurpunt arrows will show you the way.
There are various listening walks in the Mechels Broek and families with children can borrow a Snuittas in the visitor centre.
