The beech and oak mixed forest with old trees and the richly developed shrub and herb layer and the high stock of holly are considered valuable. There are other notable stocks of beech, pedunculate oak, wood sorrel, woodruff, common avens, balsam, witch's herb, ivy and lady fern.
In addition, the protected area is a retreat for various animal species."
