In Haddeby stands the church of St. Andrew, built in the 12th century from raw rocks. The area around Haithabu, today Haddeby, is considered to be the starting point for the spread of the Christian faith in northern Europe, as Ansgar built his wooden church in the wider area of our present-day church and from there carried out his mission.

St. Andreas Haddeby is a Protestant church in Busdorf. It is located just outside the village center, about 700 m north of the wall of the historic Haithabu. The church was built around 1200 from fieldstones and still shows some of the original late Romanesque architectural forms.
