Porphyry rocks jutting out into the valley with a fantastic view of the Hörselberge near Eisenach. (approx. 3 km from Brotterode)
Various legends of Venetians looking for gold are linked to the rock and its cave at the foot.

It was the old blacksmith Sünne who told this story to his children and grandchildren.
There is said to have been a cave up on Inselsberg many, many years ago.
The entrance, however, was small and narrow that a stout farmer couldn't slip into it.
The blacksmith's grandfather suited the people from Venice who dug for gold and other treasures all over the mountains.
On a warm summer night around Midsummer, the old man walked up to the cave with the Venetians.
