Tips
From a hiking description: It goes back down into the Bärenbruchsgraben directly below the Aschenbergstein. According to legend, the last bear in Thuringia fell here after a wild hunt from the Aschenbergstein and broke his neck. A few minutes later you can reach the 15 meter high Red Tower and the Bärenbruchwand via narrow paths.
Past the Bärenbruchwiesen you reach the five-armed signpost and a little off the actual hiking trail you reach the beautiful Gickelhahn vantage point, which is easily accessible via a short iron staircase.
