Natural streams in the low mountain ranges
are the island water with its tributaries Gabelbach and Alttalbach; with their winding course they can be viewed as close to nature. Through previous e.g. Due to intensive grazing in the meadow valleys, the receiving waters and stream edges have been trampled, so that the original flora has been lost due to the swamping of the valley bottoms.

Most of the land is fallow or is being mown and cleared by nature lovers at great expense. Black alder and tree willows are particularly suitable for planting on the stream edges, as they serve to stabilize the stream edges and ensure species-rich vegetation with many early bloomers.
