In 1986, The Pony Express appeared between the trees of Grote-Brogel. Founder Pierre Maes, who lived the life of a real Peerse cowboy named Jeremiah, had recreated an inn there as in 1860 along the Pony Express postal route. On the site of about 4 hectares there is plenty of space to stable horses, but at the center is a wooden saloon with a typical terrace. The place grew into an almost mythical place and a grateful setting for groups and associations who wanted to spend a weekend in the Wild West.
