Beautiful rock, the doctor Dr. Eduard Margerie was a passionate hiker, he founded the local branch of the Franconian Forest Association and the Wirsberg private clinic in the Goldenen Adlerhütte. A circular hiking trail along Schorgast is dedicated to him.

Mountain biking

In the Schorgasttal you can enjoy the nature and it is great for hiking and biking. However, the bridges are often made of wood 🪵 and this usually gets slippery when wet. Some of the steps on the trails / hiking path are made of round wood, so be careful with your bike ⚠️ 🚵‍♂️🚵🏼🚵🏻‍♀️
