The Chinese Teahouse was built on behalf of Prince Leopold III Friedrich Franz of Anhalt-Dessau between 1793 and 1797 according to plans by Johann Christian Neumark.[1][2] The construction management was entrusted to the Anhalt construction director George Christoph Hesekiel.[3] The teahouse, built in the era of classicism, was renovated from 2008 to 2015.[2][4]
