Finally sun, we spent a wonderful day on the Stubnerkogel, walked over the great long suspension bridge and enjoyed the wonderful view. On the descent to the middle station, we saw great flower meadows, great mountains and Bad Gastein below us. Shortly before the "Bergstübel" at the middle station, where we enjoyed a delicious ice cream, we saw a lot of cows and my heart jumped with joy at the sight 😍😍🐄🐄🐂🐂🐄

A bit of culture last night, in the Grandhotel Europe, an old splendid hotel with a lot of charm. It is currently being partially renovated and we were delighted to be able to look inside the beautiful hotel and to listen to the great spa concert.
Then a short evening walk in the pouring rain. On the way to the concert we heard the threateningly loud rustling and thundering of the waterfall that flows across the town of Bad Gastein.
And then it was really a very worrying sight, with what force the far too many water masses made their way that night (and also today). Hopefully we will be spared a flood here. And for all other areas I sincerely hope that there will be no further catastrophes.

Today we made a stop at the Krimml Waterfalls before continuing to our 2nd quarter in beautiful Austria.
The waterfalls are enormous, an uncanny power of the water and a huge spray. Soo fascinating. The way up is beautiful, lush green forest, moss-covered tree trunks and many viewpoints of the roaring waterfalls. Such a great experience 👍👍😄💦

Today a little farewell round around our Hotel Rudolfshütte with a view of the Weißsee and the glacier area at 2300m altitude.
The night was stormy already, but today the storm went one better, you were almost knocked over. Great to experience that.
From the hotel I first went in the direction of the Medelzhöhe chairlift. Unfortunately, this is not currently running, certainly a ski lift. From there you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Weißsee and the surrounding mountains. Then we went up to the Schafbühel, a mountain behind the Rudolfs Höhe. There you can see far into the country, the mountains and the Tauernmossee. At the top of the Schafbühel there is a second chairlift, also not in season at the moment.
Too bad. From the Schafbühel you can also see the Weißsee, behind it the glaciers. Down towards the lake, a piece along the Panorama Weg, you have many more fantastic views. For me it was then back to the Rudolfshütte. Right next to it there is an information booth for the Tauern Mountains.

After a long rain and thick fog it finally cleared up and we started today's tour. It went over a lot of boulders and rocks, I had the thought, "This is how a mountain chamois must feel" 🐏😄
We had a lot of great panoramic views, great. The rushing of small rivulets and streams could be heard everywhere, flowing into the valleys. After the long rain and the meltwater from the many slabs of snow here, it was a wet tour today, especially for our shoes.
Good, non-slip hiking boots are indispensable here in the mountains, which I was particularly happy about today. My feet stayed dry and we had a lot of beautiful views again today, of course also of the great Weisssee.

Finally sun, fantastic weather on my birthday 😊We took the cable car to the middle station to marvel at the great area at the beautiful Grünsee. We were so enthusiastic 😊😊😊A sea of meadow flowers around the lake, which lay as smooth as a mirror in front of us, above in the mountains waterfalls plunged into the valley. We had already marveled at a particularly large one on the way there from the gondola, gigantic. See the penultimate picture.
I was still fascinated by the beauty of this landscape when I heard the faint tinkling of bells and we posed in a photo pose in joyful anticipation. A whole herd of cows came trotting around the corner. As if to greet me, they came straight up to me and ate right next to me and sniffed me curiously. What a wonderful moment😊😊😊 Then more and more cows came and I was surrounded tightly. Wow, I was so excited.

Our great mountain hotel RudolfsHütte is located at an altitude of 2300 m and can only be reached by a long cable car ride. The driveway yesterday was terrific, waterfalls plunge into the valley everywhere.
Today we went for a hike along the Weisssee, below our hotel. Due to the fog, the reservoir was initially not visible, but then we had fantastic views. The path led partly over snow fields, you have to exercise caution here. Thanks to our trekking poles, we mostly had a good grip.
The lake is beautiful and freezing cold, you can still see some ice floes swimming.
Unfortunately, Komoott was nuts, the time of the hike was wrong, the speed was cheated, and the pictures got mixed up ... But the impressions were great 😊😊😊
