The Gaisfelsenhütte is located near the Gaisfelsen, on the L186 access road to the Kandelberg and is 780 meters above sea level below the Kandel summit. From here you have a beautiful view of the Breisgau Basin and the Rhine Valley and, in good weather, as far as the Vosges.The Gaisenfelsenhütte was built in 1927 and is looked after by the Nature Friends Association in Waldkirch.
