The "racing cardboard" went into series production in 1958 at the VEB Automobilwerks Zwickau and is the most famous car of the former GDR. See the various stages of development of the Volkswagen of the former GDR and its versatile uses, e.g. as a camping Trabi or military vehicle.
Also on display are rarities such as the Trabant P70 with a wooden chassis or the fastest Trabi. You can also experience exciting short reports that are shown in the cinema in the Trabi Museum.
The Trabi Safari is a special offer: drive a Trabi yourself - this is possible with TrabiWorld. In a convoy led by a guide, you drive through the city. You can choose between three different routes, all of which are accompanied by explanations from the guide, whether in German or English.
