'Miet' after the last miller. Actually the Heidemolen that used the water of the Asbeek and the savings pond (Heideweijer) for the overshot wheel. There was already talk of a watermill on this spot in 1598. It was one of the ban mills of the lords of Pietersheim, later of the De Merode family. The current owner has meanwhile changed the old weathered wheel for a more modern wheel and new feed chute. An example for the many similar old mills.
