The Hagendenkmal on the Worms Rhine promenade is intended to commemorate the sinking of the former Nibelungen treasure. It should also remind of the former Nibelungenstadt. On the Rhine there are very nice places to stop for a break (Hagenbräu brewery, beach bar, etc.)

Hiking

There is indeed a lot to do on the Rhine promenade in Worms; here from north to south: Strandbar 443*, Hagendenkmal, Kriemhilds Rosengarten, Al Fiume*, Hagenbräu*, Wormser Pegelhäuschen with ice cream shop, Kolb* (best chicken in town) and our Rhine bridge with Nibelungenturm, plus the Alte Ruderhaus* behind the winter harbor. (* = gastronomy)

I personally like these plane tree avenues in winter too, but of course it is even nicer in summer, because the Rhine always gives you a little coolness somehow.
