Sprakeler Heath

Together with the Tinner Dose and the Staverner Dose, the Sprakeler Heider belongs to a nature reserve that is entirely located in the defense training area near Meppen. Precisely because of the large military restricted area, the imposing heathland could be preserved. The track is often blocked in defense exercises. In 2018, the Wehrtechnische Anlage achieved sad fame with the fire in the Staverner Dose. Just the day before this entry visited the Federal Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen again in the shooting area located village Stavern again to express their regret for the mess of the Bundeswehr in 2018. The marked route, which leads at a fork to Sögel or Stavern is popularly called "Panzerstraße". A detailed entry can be found in Wikipedia here:
