In 1742, Clemens August gave the monastery building and the two gardens behind it, the kitchen garden for growing vegetables and herbs and the orchard behind it, to the Capuchins. The kitchen garden with a border structure and sundial was laid out in 1739 and surrounded by a yew hedge based on the Dutch pattern.
