This nature reserve is located along the Molenberg and covers just over 1 hectare. In this small area, the beautiful ruins of a 14th-century mill are located. You can admire this piece of history via sunken roads and small paths through the forest. You will find wall ferns, barn owls and falcons here. In 2022, Natuurpunt Begijnendijk and its Mill Working Group succeeded in realizing the restoration of the Old Mill. With the support of donors, Natuurpunt, the municipality of Begijnendijk and Onroerend Erfgoed, the iron sandstone mill body was reinforced and converted into a lookout tower. The opening hours of the monument can be found on Facebook. You can also obtain access via the employees of the leisure service. Via the Moorsem walk you pass the mill and you can admire the view over Betekom village.

Despite its limited surface area, the Molenberg fulfills a beautiful public park function. The 50-meter-high witness hill, barely 600 meters from the village center of Betekom, is located between the Tremelosesteenweg, Prof. Scharpélaan and Grote Baan. Disabled people can climb via an asphalt road via the Willekenslaan and Molenweg. Parking is possible in the surrounding streets.
