In the 1950s, the plateau, which had been covered with forest and heath until then, was extensively reclaimed for the cultivation of peaches and plums. Natural values with forest and heath were mainly preserved on the sharp northern slopes of the hill. Due to the relatively small-scale character and the limited use of fertilizers, the former orchards still had a high natural value.
