In the Toterfout visitor centre, Toterfout 13a in Veldhoven, we have an educational exhibition that is always open to the public. We bring the nature around the visitor centre to the attention of the public.
Walking up the stairs you will encounter all kinds of animals. You can look, listen and feel. There is always a short explanation on the information boards. The Bruggenrijt stream and the pools that are located around it are important in this area. The pools are home to numerous species of amphibians such as salamanders, toads and frogs. A few very special animals can be found there: the crested newt and the garlic toad. These are ‘red list species’ and therefore enjoy the maximum protection status that we can offer in the Netherlands.
