Great cycle path along the B10. Perfect for racing bikes. MTBs can also ride along the Rohrach. I can't understand the criticism from the first review. Of course, you have to know that the cycle path continues past the Straub Mill and not along the road.

Now I've cycled the route again from Amstetten towards Geislingen and kept my eyes peeled for where I'd come across the bike path, which runs to the left of the B10.
And sure enough, I saw the well-hidden bike path sign peeking through the oncoming traffic. Access is a bit tricky 2km after Amstetten at the turnoff to Wittingen. So, slam on the brakes, look until you find a gap in the traffic, and quickly zip over. From there, a few meters in the opposite direction to the B10 from Geislingen, you go up the Alte Steige.
It then descends steeply (I think up to 18%) to the mill, then climbs a short distance to the turnoff from the B10, where it leads to the mill shop. From there, the new bike path continues.

great thing when you drive up the slope. On the descent there are only 2 small places where you can drive through a gap in the guard rails and a few meters where the double solid center line is broken. It's actually almost impossible to hit this hole when you're driving down at 50 km/h and the trucks are blazing past you and there's oncoming traffic. It's life-threatening to just stop here. A short distance after this photo it ends again and you're spat out into oncoming traffic on the left after a chicane. Well meant, well done for the downhill riders. It would be great for the climb though, if it didn't stop halfway.
