From the Rohrach spring to the waterfall, the Rohrachtal has been a nature reserve since 1982. The 13-hectare protected area is a supra-regionally important wetland with a particularly high ornithological importance. Since September 2009, a two-kilometer-long handicapped-accessible nature trail has led through the Rohrachtal.
