Windeck castle ruins
Built after 1100 as a protective castle of the Lorsch monastery, the Windeck was in the outgoing
Destroyed 17th century.
The castle ruins have been owned by the city of Weinheim since 1978. The spiral staircase set into the wall of the keep is an architectural rarity
Wachenburg
The Wachenburg, located almost on the top of the Wachenberg, was built between 1907 and 1928 as a memorial and meeting place for the Weinheim Senior Citizens' Convention and its active student corps. The center of social life at the WSC is the annual Ascension Week meeting.
