Hiking

In 1949, a few years after the end of the Second World War, a mission was held in Liesen to deepen the faith of a church community. At the end of the mission, on the second day of Easter, a cross was carried up a rock on the Burenberg in a solemn procession and erected there as a memorial. It stands under oak trees and is visible far down into the Liesetal.
