If you are looking for a beautiful and rustic place to stop off during a hike, a bike ride or a short jog in the Siebengebirge, the Einkehrhäuschen (or in full “Einkehrhaus Waidmannsruh”) is the right place for you. It may not be so prominently located at a viewpoint over the Rhine Valley, but it is nevertheless in a lovely clearing between Heisterbacherrott, Stenzelberg and Petersberg, making it a real pearl in the Siebengebirge.

The Einkehrhäuschen has been a beautiful (intermediate) destination for over 90 years, and the possible routes there are literally unlimited... In addition to a friendly welcome and all the hot and cold drinks your heart desires, there is also delicious, homemade (!) cake and of course something warm to fortify you (tip: the tarte flambée with goat's cheese and pears...). For those who are out and about early, breakfast in the Einkehrhäuschen (which opens at 10:00 a.m.) is worth it on the weekend. Great: the Bircher muesli and the homemade jams! — Attention: please pre-order by the evening of the previous day, as everything is freshly prepared! Telephone: (02223) 24520.

Opening times: Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Monday and Tuesday are a well-deserved rest day)
